In a style, it is possible to define text from certain input fields to be used in the header (e.g. name of the company, date,…). Would there be a way to do so also in the footer? It seems the only possibility now is to add some logo?

You can add {{company.name}}, {{period.end_date}} … as a header in the following input field on the advance settings within the style:
For the footer however, there isn’t a dedicated input text box at the moment but you can however put the desired information together with the page number:
