Can I adjust the name for sending out the triggers. If I send the trigger via my account, people (with mail notifications on) will receive an e-mail with the information ‘Jelle Leus wrote a new message in CLIENT FILE’. Instead I want for example ‘insights wrote…’. I could do a workaround by changing my user name in Silverfin to ‘insights’ at the moment I’m sending out the trigger, but of course I want a better way to change this.
Can I add a link to a template via triggers? A to do/note appears but ‘{% linkto %}…{% endlinkto %}’ doesn’t work here. For real links I can use the following I’m an inline-style link But for links to templates I don’t know how to add these.
I tested your use case and found that the note on the file itself mentions “Insights”, but indeed in the inbox it mentions the name of the user that has set up the trigger.
I’ve raised this internally, I’ll let you know as soon as I receive some feedback on this.
The second point I’ve also tried and that doesn’t seem to work at this moment. I’ll also follow up to see if that could be intentional or if it’s a bug we can pick up. Since the text field is supposed to support liquid code generally speaking.
I’ve received some feedback in regards to the points you raised on Insights triggers.
It’s currently not possible to change the name on notifications, it will be sent from the user who created the trigger.
Liquid tags however should work in insights triggers todos/notes. Would you mind sending an example through to support, so our engineering team can investigate and pick up the bug?
Hi Romy,
Thank you for your response.
Regarding the issue with the liquid tags in the todo/notes. It seems not possible to do for example the following:
{% linkto period.reconciliations.benefit_in_kind %}
link to template benefit in kind
{% endlinkto %}
I will also send this to Silverfin support via mail.
